I am kind of lucky in the fact that the oldest three can manage most things on their own now, beside the occasional call for butt wiping from the five year old!
It's the 10 month old Boss Man I have to still pay attention too! However, I am slowly succeeding in teaching him the way to veg out! Before long he too will be craving Sunday do Nothing day! I have plans on Sundays and that is to have no plans at all!!
Let's get back to the real reason I am writing this blog! The ever existing, always changing, to do lists!!
Oh you know what I am talking about! You got up this morning, stumbled to the kitchen! Chaos is erupting around you, but you don't care... Coffee...
The sink full of dirty dishes!
You can't unsee it! You are now filled with this overwhelming need to throw it all away and start from scratch! You wonder how it is possible that every day there are more dirty dishes. Can't they just stop eating? I mean do they really need to eat three times a day anyway?
This is only one of the many chores on my to do list! It is always on it too! Even when I finally finish them! Cross it off of today's! It is right back there on top of the list tomorrow!
I try to keep up with it! We have tried to get the kids to wash their own bowls after breakfast! Really, they aren't even home all week! Were all these dishes made over the weekend? In a two day span of laying around and doing nothing? We even bought paper plates!
Why is every character cup and colored bowl dirty? Why is there seventeen coffee mugs in the sink? What the hell was that Tupper ware container used for??
What is that smell?
Dishes! Next to laundry it is one more Never ending necessary chore! The chore that keeps on giving!
I feel so very happy when the bottom of the sink is visible! I pat myself on the back! Thinking of the congratulatory prize of sitting down in a chair, only to turn around and see all the pots on the stove!
Why??? Oh Why?!?!....
Maybe I will just let them soak for the rest of the day! I mean, obviously they need to soak right?
