I believe that cherishing each moment we have each day is the secret to having a more happy life.
Hi, my name is Melissa and I am an imperfect mom and the author of a Blog and I also have a Facebook page that links to my blog. I wrote this to share with my wonderful friend The Brain. I have discovered as I have grown older and hopefully wiser that there is so much complaining and negativity in the world. I am guilty of this as well. As I sat and thought about this I came up with a plan for myself to turn that negativity into positive. I really do believe that positive energy can reach others in many ways .
I find that I get into cycles of complaining about really stupid things.
I don't like myself when I complain.
How will I ever stop the cycle of complaining?

I will take a breath. I will remember that there are many people who would love to be able to complain about those things, because they have it way worse than me.
When my back aches and I want to complain. I will remember that many are struggling with much worse pain than mine. Some, have debilitating diseases that zap their strength and take away their ability to do day to day things. When people are nasty and rude at the grocery store, I will try to remember that I don't know what their day, week, month or life has been like up until that point. Perhaps they are dealing with something that is beyond their control that is stressing them at the moment.
I am sure there are going to be days when things get the better of me and I am grouchy. Hopefully they will not outweigh the days that I am not grouchy and wanting to complain. It is a start and it is what I can do in my own life to try and change the way my little world is.
We must cherish the moments of happiness! Make the best of situations no matter how stressful they may be. Revel in the wonder of children seeing things for the first time and making every effort to see things as innocently as they do. Making our world better starts with each one of us and how we perceive things.
I plan to make much more of an effort to cherish more moments instead of reacting to things.
How will you change yourself and your world around you this year?
